Thank You

Thank you

Building a business is hard… obviously. Doing it alone is impossible. I have been blessed to be surrounded by some amazing people and organizations who have helped get Black Monarch off the ground. I would like to thank a few of them here.

My family.

Most importantly my wife Lourdes. She didn't sign up to be married to an entrepreneur. Life with someone whose brain is constantly somewhere else, under stress, highs, lows, instability, etc… She has always supported me and I owe everything to her. I also want to thank the rest of my family and friends who have supported me through the years.

The Erie Business community.

If there is one thing I always recommend to people who are looking to start a business it is to network and find people who have the answers that can help keep you going in the right direction. In Erie, the community surrounding small business owners and entrepreneurs is amazing. Everyone is committed to growing Erie, and we do it one conversation at a time. I would like to thank Brian Slawin for his guidance and willingness to lend an ear when things aren't always going well. I would also like to thank the team at the NWPA Innovation Beehive Network for their work on creating the logo, working on our branding, and doing market research. Rob at R. Frank Media for the gorgeous photos that grace our website and social media. There are so many other people to thank and if you have helped, supported, shared, or worked with us in anyway…Thank you

Our customers.

Our clients are everything. We get to make beautiful, functional, transformational work for them in their homes or places of business. Our custom shop, Lake Erie Woodworks, builds custom furniture, cabinets, and interior millwork. The long list of past and future clients have all had a part in helping us grow and get better at our craft everyday. They have allowed us the opportunity to create new ideas and designs that have eventually led to Black Monarch and we are truly grateful.

The well known African proverb says, “if you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” I couldn't agree more.
